Doing business in Norway - Program
In this 90-minute english-language breakfast session, we will address the practical and business-critical questions. Aider Legal specializes in helping international businesses and professionals establish, operate, and grow in Norway and will present useful information in this regard.
- Setting up in Norway — Branch (NUF) or Norwegian limited company (AS)? What triggers Norwegian tax. VAT and registration obligations, and when?
- Corporate tax and permanent establishment — The 12-month construction rule, the fixed-place-of-business rule, and the growing implications of home offices and local representatives.
- Personal tax for international professionals — The 183-day rule, the 270-day rule, Norwegian wealth tax, and exit tax: the rules that catch foreign nationals by surprise.
- Employment law — The Norwegian Working Environment Act is strongly employee-protective. What does this mean for international employers and mobile employees in practice?
- Immigration — Work permits, residency, and EEA rights in a Norwegian context.
- Practical onboarding — Altinn, BankID, and the administrative systems you need to navigate from day one.
